According to DeepLearning.AI, India has launched the $1.2 billion IndiaAI Mission to develop native large language models tailored for India's diverse languages. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, will fund AI startups and centralize computational resources by reserving 19,000 GPUs, including 13,000 Nvidia H100s.
